For months you have been thinking about every
single detail of this fabulous day. For many new beautiful
brides it’s is the first time they organize such a large
event. From budgeting to seating plans, travel arrangements
to dress rehearsal, you’ve done it all. One thing that often
gets forgotten is: how you will manage to get up at dawn and
party until dusk? This is YOUR day, and everyone will expect
you to be at your best; full of energy, smiling, dancing and
mingling with all the guests.
Here are a few tips on how to sustain your
energy from the wee hours in the morning, to the very
important “wedding night”.
·
Make sure to have a great breakfast:
a high quality protein shake (with under natured whey
protein) will give you a great start to this long day.
·
Snack often.
Make sure that your snacks are well balanced with the right
amount of carbs, fat and protein. A balance snack will keep
your insulin levels balanced. Not only preventing form
having a sugar high or low but it does keep your emotional
state balanced as well.
·
Have a good lunch, but keep it light.
Same rule of thumb as for the snacks. Eat a well balanced
lunch which will fuel your body. Think of it as putting
premium gas in your car for better mileage. You want to be
going that extra mile on your wedding day (and night!) Today
is not the day to think about weight loss and or skipping
meals.
·
Before dinner ~ last snack.
Consider another protein shake before the
ceremony/pictures/dinner. You may not be able to get much
fuel in once the whole event gets underway. Another protein
shake will sustain you until dinner. The idea is not to be
starved at supper time either. You don’t want to be seen
shoveling your food into your mouth. Nor do you want to eat
too much or too fast and get blooded. A quality shake is
high in nutrition and low on calories. Again, you want to be
fuel efficient.
Enjoy your day. Eating balanced meals and
snacks will ensure not only that your tummy is not rumbling
while you say I do, but this will help you stay calm. Good
nutrition is as important to great physical health as it is
to emotional health. Nibble on your meal at dinner, don’t
eat the whole piece of cake and drink responsibly.
At the end of the night, have a cleanse tea.
This will help prevent any toxins that you might have over
indulged in too be released, leaving feeling like a million
bucks, instead of something the cat dragged in the next
morning. Even though the wedding day is over, the
festivities may continue the next day. You want to keep
looking your best to your family and friends.
If you do feel a little queasy, have
another cleanse tea in the morning, along with a protein
shake. It’s your best restorer. And this will ensure that
you will be remembered as the hottest bride!
